Here’s a headline you need to pay attention to: While you’re spending time questioning your worth, others are envious of your potential.
Piggybacking off of yesterday’s chat about discovering our personal strengths, I wonder how many of us don’t believe in ourselves enough to utilize those gifts. Why is it that we can look at others with such grace and admiration (even when they fail), but when it comes to ourselves, we are flooded with self-doubt and hesitation?
The truth is, we ALL have gifts. We ALL have strengths. But having strength is not as important as exercising. We don’t work out because we are strong. We work out to remain strong. We need the consistency. The practice of putting something into action to develop, train, and eventually, master. Imagine how many lives you would touch if you mastered your gifts. You are here to make an impact. Someone is waiting to hear your story, your idea, even your struggles.
I encourage you to get out this week and “exercise” your strengths. Start that business, take that leap, build that brand. You are allowed to be a work in progress. You are allowed to fail. Challenge yourself to learn from your failures and maybe even one day, you will see those as strengths too.
